The stucks most overlanders actually experience are traction failures — sand, mud, snow — and those are precisely the cases boards handle. Yes, with one adjustment: mud recoveries usually need more digging first. Sand flows away from a spinning tire; mud seals around it, so clear the wheel and cut a real exit ramp before placing the board. Expect the boards to need a rinse after — packed mud between the teeth reduces bite on the next use.
Can I use traction boards as a bridge over a ditch or hole?
